BMS DIRECT IN
SUMMARY |
| |
 |
BMS Direct Building Management Systems
Interface Software is designed to provide direct access, without the
need for a front end, to Siemens Apogee
and System 600 building management systems. |
| |
 |
Designed and built for Windows XP Pro
using Delphi. Requires 1024 x 768 graphics
capability and the appropriate rights. |
| |
 |
This Building Management Systems Interface
Software provides access to cabinets in Apogee and System
600 systems, and to TEC controllers with Apogee
systems. |
|
BMS Direct
is a Windows program which provides
an interface to Siemens Apogee and System
600 (formerly Powers 600) Building Management
Systems operating in terminal mode. With a
connection, via a serial port, to a cabinet,
the Building Management Systems Interface
Software bypasses the Insight front
end, (if present), communicating directly
with the control system.
The program runs under
Windows XP and requires a 1024x768 (minimum)
screen resolution. Appropriate rights are
required, both under Windows and on the BMS,
to provide full functionality. |
|
| |
 |
Requirements - modem, serial port or USB
port with USB to serial converter. Appropriate
levels of access to Apogee or System 600 systems.
|
| |
 |
Developed for commissioning, maintenance and
on going operation of systems, with or without
Insight software. Up to five copies of the
software may be used on each individual system,
allowing service personnel, system mangers, commissioning
staff, and the like, to have access, from any
suitable PC, to the system. |
| |
 |
The Building Management Systems Interface
Software was developed by an HVAC engineer involved in the
commissioning and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Further development of the Building Management
Systems Interface Software is planned
to extend the facilities provided. |
| |
|
The building management systems interface
software provides the following facilities:- |
| |
 |
TERMINAL
MODE standard interaction with the
BMS. The terminal mode window includes a capture
facility, backwards scrolling, copy to clipboard
and access to a user imported list of BMS points. |
| |
 |
TEXT
MODE using predefined lists of points
with descriptive names (up to 40 characters) which
clearly identify the point details, the program
scans these essentially, returning the data, point
status and priority. |
| |
 |
GRAPHICS
MODE again using predefined lists
of points, the data is displayed on a graphic
which can be a schematic, building layout, or
a pictorial representation of the particular system. |
